Hello everyone,
My name is Dave Verreault-Thisselmagan, I am an Indigenous artisan from Mashteuiatsh, and for several years, I have been bringing my art to life by participating in Pow-Wows across Quebec and beyond. These events are essential to me. They allow me not only to share my creations, but also to discover the richness of my culture and to transmit the heritage of the First Nations to a wide audience.
However, making a living from your art is a challenge, especially as an Indigenous craftsperson. Every season, I travel from Pow-Wow to Pow-Wow with all my materials and artwork. Unfortunately, without a suitable vehicle, I am forced to sleep in my car and transport my creations in an uncomfortable and risky manner.
That is why I am launching this crowdfunding campaign. My goal is to acquire a recreational vehicle adapted to my needs as an artisan for the 2025 season. With your help, I will be able to continue to participate in Pow-Wows in better conditions, without having to sacrifice my comfort or the quality of my work. This vehicle will allow me to transport my materials and my works safely, to sleep in a decent space after long days of work, and thus to continue to grow my craft.
Every donation counts, no matter the amount. Your support will not only allow me to pursue my dreams, but also contribute to the preservation and transmission of Indigenous culture. Together, we can ensure that my art continues to travel, from Pow-Wow to Pow-Wow, so that more and more people can discover its beauty and meaning.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and support. By participating in this campaign, you are part of a unique human and artistic adventure, and you are helping an indigenous artisan go even further.
